monday night interpol/secret machines party was awesome.
tonight we are having "floor" meetings with all of the counselors in
our dorm to discuss some issues about drinking, respecting each others
space, and vandalism. But everyone knows the whole thing is just
in response to me and Petri
 
always getting drunk and crazy. In weekly meetings, our names get
reported to our counselors supervisors every time. Also, out of
six floors, an academic dean will only be attending our floor
meeting. So my plan is this:
I am going into this thing with a can of non-alcoholic beer in my
pocket. As soon as someone says the word "alcohol"...KHA-CHINK
(sound of can opening). At this point everyone will look at me as
I casually raise the can of "beer" up above the table and take a sip.
GLORIOUS!!!!!! ps did you notice I said "chink"?

wow. it has been so long updating live journal is hard. i am
either going to post nothing or a ton. so here comes a huge
disorganized post.
two weekends ago was parents weekend and head of the charles. my
parents came. it was cool. now my room looks like this:
tons of stuff is new. like the chair, carpet, lamp, plant, shelf, all
the pillows, a lightning lamp, glasses, a mug, a mirror, red twinkle
lights. im forgetting a lot more stuff that is also new and cool.
oh yeah like a new winter coat and the pimpest ever extreme survival
flotation suit for crew and tons more stuff from home. but my
favorite new addition is the percolator (next to Pedro the plant); all it does is
heat up water, but holy shit, i now own a percolator.
I also got a bike and its super lucky because it has sweet shocks and
pegs and going to and from the boathouse and other places is way
faster. ok sorry back to two weeknds ago when my parents were
here. this is us at the regatta:
just notice how hot my Smith headband is. the race was fun but
weird and way different than past years. Usually this regatta is
a huge event, we would fly out and stay in boston for a week practicing
out of Harvard's boathouse. It was always such an amazing trip
and I always felt like I was in way over my head. Sophomore year
our high school team won the event and beat Brown. back at
harvards historic boathosue Harry Parker (rowing God) congratulated us
all and shook our hands. Every year you got this amazing
feeling and it always seemed like you were with all the right people.
but this year we just left the campus at 6 am, drove up there, raced,
and drove back. it was all grey and gloomy. everything was
different: the rowing expo tent was in a totally different spot, we
launched on a little crappy insta-dock, the course was even altered due
to weather.
it was still really fun but it felt very different. the whole
thing felt much easier and more simple. interesting change in
general, not good, not bad.
Okay now back to a day-to-day stories:
last night was this crew party and it was sweet. lots of other
random shit happened too. we had a huge lincoln reunion at the
party. bunnage was there and even kiera showed up because scott
rosenthal (aka SCOTTERRRRRRRR) was here!!!! it was super hardcore
partying with Scott. I hope i dont get in trouble for some stupid
but awesomely fun stuff we did last night.

Wow so much more happened. oh well. sorry this post was long and annoying I'll try to not let that happen again.
